At Unearth Psychotherapy, I am committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. This privacy notice explains how I collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use the website enquiry form.
1. Who We Are (The Data Controller)
Unearth Psychotherapy is a small private therapy practice run by Katie Holland. For the purposes of data protection law, I am the "Data Controller" of the personal information you submit through this website.
Email: info@unearthpsychotherapy.com
2. The Information Collected & Why
When you submit an enquiry through the website form, I collect your name, email address and/or preferred method of contact. I will also collect any brief information you choose to share. Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK-GDPR), I rely on your explicit consent to process this data. By checking the consent box and clicking submit, you give me permission to use these details solely to contact you about your initial enquiry for therapy or supervision.
3. How Your Data is Stored and Secured
The security of your information is incredibly important to me.
Data submitted via the enquiry form is directly transferred to and securely stored within a Google Workspace Business Account, using industry-standard encryption both while your data is moving across the internet and while it is stored. Access is strictly password-protected and restricted solely to me, Katie Holland. No clinical or health data is requested or should be submitted via this website enquiry form.
4. How Long I Keep Your Information
If you choose to start therapy, your contact information will be moved to your secure clinical record file, and a separate clinical privacy contract will be provided to you.
If you decide not to proceed, or if I don't hear back from you following your enquiry, our website enquiry data and any associated email threads will be completely and permanently deleted within three (3) months of our last contact to keep your information minimal and tidy.
5. Your Data Rights
Under UK data protection law, you have specific rights regarding your personal information. You have the right to ask for a copy of the information I hold about you, request that I correct any inaccurate information, ask me to delete your personal details from my systems entirely, and/or withdraw your consent for me to contact you at any time.
If you wish to exercise any of these rights, please contact me directly at info@unearthpsychotherapy.com
6. How to Complain
If you have any concerns about how your data is handled, please contact me first so I can resolve it. You also have a legal right to lodge a complaint with the UK's data protection regulator, the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), via their website at ico.org.uk.
